nicholas wallis. professor: pratt institute. art history. basic arts. ba: tcnj. ma: temple university. phd in progress. aim: franksinicktra & fb. facts: • born in london, england, (10/17/79). immigrated at 12, relocated to new jersey with his mother and older brother. father had been out of the picture since he was four. • his mother had terrible taste in men and there seemed to be a new horror every month. eventually he and his brother took to the streets for solace and found drugs, alcohol and violence instead. • when his older brother died, od'ed and his body undiscovered for a week, he straightened up and tried to make something of himself. he finally finished high school, went off to college and never looked back. nick fell in love with learning and calls himself the perpetual student. • does a lot of volunteer work, thinks it's important to keep kids of the streets. he works with organisations like the boys and girls club, and also works at soup kitchens from time to time. • the most important thing in his life is his son, milo (2/8/08). • clean and sober for about ten years--aside from the occasional marijuana indulgence and half a pack of cigarettes a day. otherwise, he's strict about everything he puts in his body. no processed foods, very little meat, etc. • personality-wise, he's rather eclectic. though his main hobbies revolve around art, he's a bit of a gym rat and loves (to play, not watch) sports. he's generally outgoing and goofy, but because a little more reserved with age. • likes: portraits, figures, body modification, cartoons, cooking shows, exercise, chocolate and useless trivia. • dislikes: landscapes, traffic, snow, exercise, unglazed ceramic, spellchecks without british-english dictionaries.
